The 49ers and the Browns and the New England Patriots have reportedly completed the framework for a trade deal to be completed as soon as Brandon Ayiuk makes a choice on which contract he wants to sign.

The 49ers gave permission for Ayiuk to negotiate contracts with the Browns, Patriots, Commanders and the Steelers.
The Commanders have reportedly removed themselves from the trade talks, while the Steelers weren’t able to meet the Niners asking price for Ayiuk.
The Browns and Patriots have reportedly already sent over contracts to Ayiuk’s camp and trade offers that the Niners have already accepted, the ball is pretty much in Ayiuk’s court to make a decision.

If the Niners were to make the trade, i’d like to see them maybe target Amari Cooper if possible and maybe a 4th and a 5th, and if it ended up going towards the Patriots, i could see the Niners leaning more towards Kendrick Bourne, former Niner.
If these contract talks end up stalling, it’d be inevitable for Ayiuk to sit the season out until he gets what he deserves, as he’s led the Niners the past two seasons in receiving yards, Ayiuk is still in his Rookie Contract which would see him get paid 14.124 million but with receivers like Amon St Brown signing huge contracts this offseason, Ayiuk will definitely be looking for something in the 25-30$ million range. Which is the average for most WR1’s in their respective teams. The list for the Top 10 highest paid WR’s are below.

- Justin Jefferson: Minnesota Vikings, $35 million average annual value (AAV)
- A.J. Brown: Philadelphia Eagles, $32 million AAV
- Amon-Ra St. Brown: Detroit Lions, $30.002 million AAV
- Tyreek Hill: Miami Dolphins, $30 million AAV
- Jaylen Waddle: Miami Dolphins, $28.25 million AAV
- Davante Adams: Las Vegas Raiders, $28 million AAV
- Cooper Kupp: Los Angeles Rams, $26.7 million AAV
- DeVonta Smith: Philadelphia Eagles, $25 million AAV
- Nico Collins: Houston Texans, $24.25 million AAV
- DK Metcalf: Seattle Seahawks, $24 million AAV
IF the 49ers trade away Brandon Aiyuk… I can’t say I understand the strategy and philosophy.
You draft a WR in Round 1 hoping and praying that he turns into a Pro Bowl player.
That player turns into one of the best of the league and then asks for a market value contract.

And then you decide not to pay him? What was the point in drafting Aiyuk then? Do they not have the funds? Do they wanna break the internet and pay Purdy a record breaking amount, i honestly can’t say but this trade is gonna have to blow me out of my seat for it to make any sense to me, because giving a Top 10 receiver away for a trade and a new contract, you’d be stupid to not take Ayiuk if you have the money available.
This deal is rumored to go through either as early as tonight or early tomorrow and latest could be mid-day tomorrow, or end of the work day.
Keep an eye out for my Twitter at @AdiramCastro10 for up to the minute trad updates and subscribe for the full trade and contract details once the Niners complete the trade and when Ayiuk puts pen to paper.
