REPORT: Suns reportedly bench Bradley Beal and Jusuf Nurkic

After multiple injuries and rumors of Beal and Nurkic potentially being moved in a trade. Chris B Haynes reports that sources have informed him that the Phoenix Suns will bench Beal and Nurkic. They will be removed from the starting lineup on Monday for their matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, according to Haynes.

Rookie Ryan Dunn and Mason Plumlee will assume they starting roles for Nurkic and Beal.

According to Haynes, the frustration in the locker room are at an all time high. Players are frustrated at how they are being utilized. Haynes also said that players are unsure of their roles within the team and the coaching staff is still trying to figure things out.

If the Suns were to trade Bradley Beal, they’d need him to waive his no-trade clause. Beal is currently on a 5yr/251m deal, with a player option for 57.1m in the 2026-27 season. Currently Bradley Beal is averaging 17.8 PTS, 3.7 REB, 3.1 AST, 1.2 STL and 0.7 BLKS per game. He has appeared in 23 games this season and has dealt with an elbow and calf strain.

Nurkic is currently in the 3rd year of a 4yr/70m deal. He is set to be paid 37.4m for the final two years of his contract. Now moving Nurkic could be a bit easier for the Suns if that’s their ultimate goal, since he doesn’t have a no trade clause. Also his contract is relatively priced for a starting center. He is currently averaging 8.8 PTS, 9.5 REB, 1.9 AST, 1.0 STL and 0.7 BLKS in 23 games played this season.

Bear Sports News reached out to the Phoenix Suns for confirmation on this move but hadn’t heard back at the time of releasing this story.

Kyrie Irving OUT for 1-2 weeks due to a bulging disk in his back

Now the Mavericks fans have every right to be worried. After losing Luka Doncic on Christmas Day, they have lost another one of their stars. Kyrie Irving is reportedly out for the next 1-2 weeks, due to a bulging disk in his back.

The Mavericks announced on Sunday, that Irving would be OUT for Monday’s road game against the Grizzlies due to a sprain in his back. He remained in Dallas to be reevaluated.

Jonathan Kuminga OUT for 3 weeks due to a significant ankle sprain

On Sunday, the Golden State Warriors confirmed that the MRI confirmed a more serious sprain for Kuminga and he would be out for three weeks. After falling in the paint and rolling his ankle, Kuminga was seen exiting the arena on crutches.

Kuminga is playing some of the best basketball we have ever seen him play. Currently he is averaging 16.8 PTS a game, which is a career high for Kuminga.

. “I want to be out there playing and I feel like our team is now taking off in the right direction and I would love to just be out there.”

Kuminga is set to be become a free agent at the end of the season, and with his career-high season so far. I don’t think the Warriors will be open to moving him but will definitely listen to offers.
