Ace Bailey, The Forgettable Draft Night
We mentioned in yesterday’s rundown that Ace Bailey reportedly did NOT wanna be drafted by the Utah Jazz. Well the situation just continues to get more sticky by the second. Yesterday, multiple reports emerged that Ace Bailey’s agent told a ‘Top 5’ team, if they were to draft Bailey, he would not show up. Then late last night, another report came out. Bailey did not board the plane with Walter Clayton Jr, the other Jazz draft pick. Reports are emerging that Ace Bailey could potentially be holding out and will not show.

*This next article references talk about Wander Franco’s charges, which if you aren’t aware include, ‘sexual abuse of a minor’. If these types of things make you uncomfortable, we advise you to go to the next article, thanks for your support as always!*
Wander Franco has been found guilty in the Dominican Republic for sexual abuse of a minor. He will serve a two year sentence, which will be outside of a cell, as long as he adheres to the terms the court set forward. Some of those include paying fines and the court for the cost of the trial. The victims mother was also charged with money laundering and commercial sexual exploitation of a minor. The court said that the victims mother (whose name was held private in order to keep the victim’s name withheld) blackmailed Wander Franco and exerted pressure on him.
It is unknown if this is the end for Wander Franco in the MLB just yet. The MLB released a statement yesterday that they are aware of the verdict and will hold their investigations at a later time. Franco’s full sentence will be revealed on July 17th, 2025, but until then, it’s important to note that Franco’s sentence currently doesn’t have travel restrictions. Which is very helpful if your Wander Franco looking for a comeback, but immigration experts say that a conviction could likely result in a ban from the United States.
Former Ravens Kicker Suspended for 10 Games
Yesterday, the NFL officially announced that they will be suspending kicker Justin Tucker for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. In a joint statement released yesterday by Tucker, it is said that he will not be appealing the suspension. Justin Tucker was released by the Ravens on May 5th after multiple massage parlors around the Baltimore Area reported that Tucker was acting inappropriately towards the workers. The Ravens cited it was for ‘football reasons’ but me and you both know the real reason why.
Team USA Newest Addition
The World Baseball Classic is vastly approaching and after the team announced that Aaron Judge and Paul Skenes would be some of the members on Team USA. They figured it was time to announce another player. That player is none other that All-Star Shortstop for the Kansas City Royals, Bobby Witt Jr!
Witt over the past two seasons has 299 hits for a .314 batting average with over 40 home runs smacked. Witt is going to be a very nice addition, from his bat to his glove at shortstop. Team USA is slowly building the Avengers to take down Japan after their brutal loss during the last WBC.
Shota Impresses in Return from Injury
After suffering a hamstring injury on May 4th, Shota Imanga finally took back to the mound after an almost 2 month absence from play. Despite being on a low pitch count, Shota was able to strike out three batters through 5 innings pitched. The Cubs had been struggling lately with their pitching so the addition of Shota back into the rotation, will be a very big help for a team fighting for a postseason glory.

First Starters for MLB All-Star Game Announced
I wasn’t really going to even include this part but i figured i can switch it around since well it’s obvious who the starters will be. (Ohtani and Judge, just in case you didn’t). Instead of talking about their amazing abilities, let’s bring up a question for the reader. In each position for the NL, at least 1 Dodger is included, while some of them are having amazing seasons, it makes you think. Is the fan vote just a dead fish in the water? Players like Eugenio Suarez and James Wood who have been having amazing seasons, were snubbed from the ASG this season.
The question is, should the MLB abolish the fan vote and have media vote on who the All-Stars should be?

Mets Preparing for the Worst with Griffin Canning
Yesterday, during a routing grounder towards Francisco Lindor, Canning took an awkward step off the mound, immediately falling to the ground and grabbing at his leg. After some moments on the playing surface, Canning was helped off the field by two medical trainers. The Mets are fearing that Griffin Canning suffered an achilles injury. While further testing is set to be done to confirm the news, it’s a devastating loss regardless. The Mets rotation is already down three pitchers, not including Canning. This is a huge blow for a team that had postseason aspirations on Opening Day. While the Mets are still playing well, they will have to start reaching deep into their depth. If the Mets were to make a roster move today, this would be their 10th consecutive roster moves in 10 days.
