I still remember one of the first few times i got the taste of journalism. I was around ten to eleven years old when i was at Phoenix International Raceway, in line to meet Matt Kenseth, Aric Almirola and Greg Biffle. More specifically, it was around a year later after the Kenseth/Logano incident at Martinsville. Naturally, when i had the chance to ask him my questions, i had to ask how his car was handling. I believe he said he felt tight in the corners but was confident in the adjustments they had made. That’s when i knew, i had my chance to ask the real hard hitting question. “Did your tire really go down at Martinsville?” Kenseth stopped signing mid-autograph, put down the Sharpie and looked at me and laughed. He told me to take my best guess and took a little bit of time to get to know me. Then that same weekend, my uncle took me to one of Jeff Gluck’s famous tweet-ups. I had the itch to ask another question, and this time it wasn’t about a tire going down. I asked Brad Keselowski if the new chase format that NASCAR introduced brings more stress to the team compared to the old one. Jeff Gluck then came up to me and told me he approved of my question and said he hoped to see me back. Well every time i went to a tweet-up, Jeff Gluck always took the time to talk with me and always make sure my question would get called on. I still have the 1:24 Kyle Busch signed diecast that he gifted me and said it was for “a person who always shows up to the tweet-ups and asks great questions.”

From those tweet-ups, to calling my grandpa 24/7 about every move every baseball team would make. I knew i wanted to be a sports writer. When i started this website back in July 2024, i didn’t really know what my end goal was. I didn’t know if i wanted to work for a big company or try to grow Bear Sports News into a big company. Well i quickly learned that i would have way more fun working for myself rather than someone else. For the past couple of months, I’ve quietly taken a step back away from writing. It’s not that I’ve lost the love for writing, i just simply got burnt out trying to release daily articles. Trying to release articles that were always good enough to go viral.

I always hear people say, find something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life. That’s what i want writing to become for me, so starting today, we are gonna be prioritizing Major League Baseball as our main form of content. I will still be releasing articles about NFL and NBA but just not as frequently as MLB.

For NFL and NBA content, i really wanna be able to focus on long-term content. For example, the Aspiration/Kawhi Leonard situation, or even taking all NFL teams and taking control of the GM spot and making their offseason moves.

But for the time being, most of the content you will find on BSN will solely be MLB. Bear Sports News will begin the process behind the scenes of hiring freelance journalist to release articles on NBA, NFL, CFB, CBB with more slated to come in the future. While this may decision may be disappointing to some readers, i wanna reassure you, that the content will only improve. I’d rather give our readers a chance to not only read one article from myself, but multiple articles covering a huge range of topics.

Thanks for your continued support as well! I truly appreciate it! I can’t wait for you guys to see what i have planned for MLB this season! Keep an eye out for our first major project of the year, ‘Is A Salary Cap Needed’ article which will include multiple parts. As well as our first annual MLB previews of all 30 teams which will start releasing in the next few weeks!
