I wanted to start a new style of potentially daily articles that i could release for the MLB season. If it works out as anticipated, larger scale articles will be released weekly for NFL in the same aspect. As always if you have any comments, make sure to either DM me on Twitter or Facebook or comment on here! Thank you for your support as always! You reading is what helps me know you guys are enjoying these. (:

Fernando Tatis Jr Out-Of-The-Park Plaque Damaged
After a four game series that included eight hit batters, 3 suspensions, 2 bench clearing brawls and 1 damaged plaque. Fernando Tatis Jr plaque commemorating the sixth out-of-the-park home run at Dodger Stadium was damaged according to a Dodgers spokesperson. The Dodgers said a new one would be installed before the next homestand. When Tatis was asked about playing in Dodger Stadium, he said “I just don’t like it, I don’t like it at all.”
Chase Burns 2024 2nd Overall Pick to Make MLB Debut
After only making 13 starts in the Reds minor league system, Brad Meador manager of the Reds announced that top pitching prospect Chase Burns (MLB no 11 prospect) will make his debut this Tuesday. Burns was the 2nd overall pick by the Reds last year and after posting a 1.77 ERA across the minor league system, he earns the call up.
The Big Dumper Continues to Dump
Cal Raleigh continues to impress everyone. He is now the first switch hitter to hit 30 home-runs before the All-Star break. As well as just breaking the record for the most home-runs as a catcher before the All-Star break. Cal Raleigh’s 30 home-runs currently leads the MLB and he is on pace for 65 home runs.
MLB Looking into Sean Hjelle Allegations
The San Francisco Giants were made aware of a video posted by Sean Hjelle’s soon to be ex-wife. Caroline Hjelle posted a video with her two sons with a caption that read, “When my MLB husband abandons us on Mothers Day a week after (this video was taken) once I finally found out about his affairs and stopped putting up with his abuse, so I’ve been raising two boys alone.” The MLB will handle it under the leagues Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy. Hjelle was asked by reporters after the game about the claims and he had no comment. You can find his full quote from that interview down below.
“I don’t have an official comment right now,” Hjelle told reporters. “I would like to actually talk with my agent, my lawyer. This has been something that’s been going on for over a year now in terms of our relationship and our divorce and our separation and everything. … I just want to talk to the appropriate people and figure out what the steps are. Just kind of taking it in stride right now.
“So no comment right now. I feel confident saying that I will have one eventually. I don’t have an exact timeline on that, but I would like to actually get with the people that are handling the situation with me and for me before I actually make an official statement.”
Elly De La Cruz Battles Heat VS St.Louis
Excessive heat warnings rang out in St.Louis today, and it was HOT. 92 degrees at first pitch, and the feel like temperature came in at 106. It was so hot to the point where the grounds crew had to bring out shovels to pick up the area where Elly De La Cruz had thrown up. Terry Francona, manager for the Reds walked out with medical trainers and he said he wanted to stay in the game. In the seventh inning, three innings after his ‘accident’, he belted a 435’ no-doubter shot to centerfield. “He drank a bunch of water, I mean a bunch,” Francona told reporters after a 6-5 loss in 11 innings. “He went right out and got rid of it. Probably could’ve made some money, that’s game-used. It’s probably worth something.”
Elly De La Cruz is the first player in MLB history to throw up and then homer in the same game.
Devers First HR as a Giant Comes Against Former Team
Just six days after the Red Sox traded Rafael Devers to the Giants, he just belted his first home-run for them. Of course the baseball gods couldn’t have wrote this one any better. On the second pitch of the at-bat, Brayan Bello threw a 4-seamer outside-middle. Devers made contact for a 2-run 370’ foot shot to left field. Devers brushed off the moment though when he talked to reporters. “Nothing more special than any other homer I hit,” Devers said through a team interpreter after the game. “I’m just happy I was able to contribute to the win.”
Rob Washington to Take Time Away from Team
Los Angeles Angels manager Rob Washington hadn’t been himself the last couple of days. Zach Neto who has a close relationship with Washington told reporters that he hadn’t been acting like himself, moving around slower. Now Washington will take some time away to deal with an ‘undisclosed medical problem’. He will still be near the team and watching games from the general manager’s suite. Washington has still been in the front office, as well as interacting with other coaches, players and staff. Bench coach Ray Montgomery will serve as the interim manager a while Washington works on a comeback. Which Angels GM says he is hopeful will be soon.
Dodgers Commit 1m to Immigrant Families
It’s been a PR disaster for the Dodgers this past week. On Thursday, the Dodgers said they denied access to federal agents to use parking lots around the stadium. On Friday, the Dodgers came out publicly and announced they were committing 1 million dollars toward assistance for families affected by the recent ICE raids. The money was set to be donated on Thursday but the ‘incident’ delayed that.
“What’s happening in Los Angeles has reverberated among thousands upon thousands of people, and we have heard the calls for us to take a leading role on behalf of those affected,” Stan Kasten, the president of the Dodgers, said in a statement. “We believe that by committing resources and taking action, we will continue to support and uplift the communities of Greater Los Angeles.”
Then on Saturday, five hours before game-time, hundreds of Dodgers fans gathered outside the entrance with the logos crossed out on shirts and jerseys. They criticized the team for what they said as a lack of support for the Latino community and the families affected by the ICE raids. Some were lifelong fans of the Dodgers, others were condemning ICE and its policies all together.
I love the Dodgers, but I love my people more,” said Monica Alcaraz, wearing a Dodgers shirt with the logo scribbled out. She became overwhelmed with emotion as she spoke.
“They need to stand for us. They need to support the community. I have many, many friends that have season tickets, and they struggle with this. They make so much money off of us. They just bought the freakin Lakers,” – Monica Alcaraz spoke with The Athletic on the matter
Schimdt Taken Out of No-Hit Performance
OKAY, before you go to the Yankees social media pages and call for Boone’s neck. It had to unfortunately be done. On paper it was an amazing performance but he was already up to over 100 pitches, including over 20 pitches in the seventh inning. Despite the sell-out crowd of over 46k fans in attendance, Boone prioritized his pitchers health rather than history. Schimdt was already battling fatigue in a hot-muggy day in New York. Catcher JC Escarra said “part of me did want to see” Schmidt return for the eighth inning. “But ultimately for his health,” Escarra said, “he had to come out.”
